See AllBlue Gum Cabin The Blue Gum Cabin is perfect for couples, small family or small groups.It has two separate bedrooms, the first with a queen bed fitted with an electric blanket, the other having 2 single bunk beds. A double pull out sofa lounge is in the lounge area and extra is available on request.A fully equipped kitchen with a full size fridge/freezer, a stove/oven and a microwave makes meal times easy. A BBQ is available on the verandah but we ask you to clean it each time you use it please.In the bathroom guests can relax in a spa bath. The toilet is a composting environmentally-friendly system.The slow combustion fire will keep the cottage cozy in cooler weather. We supply some firewood and there is plenty of wood around the cabin if you run out. We provide a number of DVD’s, books and games to keep you amused when you are inside.The front verandah faces North West, making it a beautiful spot to begin and/or end your day with a drink of your choice. It provides a lovely view of the sunset.An enclosed fire pit is near the back corner of the cabin where you can sit to tell stories, solve the world’s problems, cook your dinner or toast marshmallows for dessert.There is plenty of nice walks around the property.The Homestead The Homestead is our largest building accommodating between 6 to 13 guests. Larger groups may be accommodated by agreement with your hosts.An attraction of the Homestead is the number of decks – whatever the prevailing weather conditions guests can usually find a comfortable, protected space to sit and relax.A central foyer/sitting area has a slow combustion wood fire to provide a central cosy place to relax indoors.A large open wood fire in the lounge room provides a warm, comfortable atmosphere while sharing time with your group.A well equipped, large kitchen will make meal times easy. A full size fridge/freezer, an entertainer’s style gas stove, a microwave, electric kettle and a toaster are all provided. No matter how large your group all your provisions can be stored in the walk in pantry and prepared on the ample bench space.Having a total of 6 bedrooms, 4 are furnished with a queen bed , 1 with a double bed and 1 with two single beds. There is an extra single bed in one queen room.There is a main bathroom and an ensuite bathroom, both having a shower over the bath and septic toilets.Acacia Cabin The Acacia cabin is a comfortable, rustic studio style cabin perfect for solo travelers, couples or a small family group. Situated in a quiet location it is surrounded by plenty of natural bush and wildlife.All in one room is a queen bed fitted with an electric blanket. In the centre area is a lounge area which has a 3 seater sofa, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen including a full size fridge/freezer, stove, a microwave, an electric kettle and a toaster.In the lounge area is a slow combustion fire to keep the cabin cozy in the cooler weather. We supply the wood and there is plenty of wood around the cabin if you run out. A small selection of DVD’s, books and games is available.At one end of the cottage is a separate bathroom with a walk in shower.

The property is set on 100 hectares of pristine Australian bush ready for you to explore. You can choose between a studio styled cabin, 2 bedroom secluded cabins or a 6 bedroom homestead with a large open living room and kitchen. Each accommodation is equipped with your very own fireplace and firewood provided ready to keep you warm throughout your stay. We are located in Wattle Flat NSW, 3 hours from Sydney, 1 hour from Mudgee or 30 minutes from Bathurst. Offering complete serenity and relaxation. We offer an opportunity for our guests to escape the normal hustle and bustle of life, to relax and allow your children the freedom to explore and play. Let the magic of nature soak away the stresses of life. Fill your days with little or lots, it's up to you. Comfort and nature blend beautifully in your own country-style cabin or in the homestead.A selection of DVD's, CD's, books and games make for a variety of in-cabin/homestead entertainment. Phone network coverage is minimal, however Telstra works the best. There is plenty of nice space to walk around the property, gold fossicking at the stream or going yabbying in one of the dams.

See AllWattle Flat Heritage Lands Explore the Wattle Flat Heritage Lands, which is a 250 hectare remnant bush-land reserve right next to the Ryder Homestead property. The evidence of past gold mining can be clearly seen, as can the rare Argyle Apple, a distinctive Eucalypt with attractive blue-grey foliage.The Burree Trail takes 3 hours at a leisurely pace. Just follow the yellow triangles placed on trees along the trail. Buurree is Wiradjuri for Wattle. Wiradjuri people occupied the Wattle Flat Plateau prior to the European settlement and during the early nineteenth century.Many rare and endangered species grow beside the trail and on the mountain slopes. Severely eroded ravines, remnants of gold workings from the c19 can be seen through the trees.Wattle Flat General Store Visit the General Store in Wattle Flat for any convenience food items, soft drinks, coffee and petrol.Opening times are every day from 9am to 6pm.Wattle Flat Gift Shop and Australia Post Across from the General Store, there is a gift shop that sells some amazing crafts, pies, coffee and also any of your posting needs.Opening times are from 9am to 3pm every day. The store is closed the first weekend of the month.Wattle Flat Playground The Wattle Flat playground is a 2 minute drive from the Ryder Homestead.Sofala Explore and grab some lunch at the old gold town, Sofala.
